Larry W Faircloth Receives WV Chamber of Commerce Endorsement for 2014

I am pleased to announce that I have officially received the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce Endorsement for my campaign in 2014. The WV Chamber recognizes the importance of small business in our state, and I have worked tirelessly in my efforts to help our small business owners here in the state of West Virginia. West Virginia is in no doubt, not the most friendly place for small business owners, so I took great pride when working hand in hand with the Chamber on countless issues to benefit our small business owners.

When it comes down to it, small businesses are the backbone of our state. They are the owners that put in countless hours, the ‘blood, sweat, and tears’, to get ahead. In doing so, they accomplish many other tasks that they should be applauded for. By opening their doors in this great state, they employ many families, thus providing employment to 10’s of 1000’s families in this state. They also contribute to the tax structure in many different ways. Their tax dollars help to fund education, our roads, and provide the dream of free market opportunities.

Unfortunately, to protect our businesses, we need to take a serious look at our legal reform. We must first start with Tort reform. What is the benefit to opening a business, if we live in a state that is referred to as the ‘lawsuit lottery’ state?

As a small business owner, I know that I can empathize with small businesses in this dilemma. Some years back, my business suffered through this matter as well. I was the target of what I consider in my opinion to be a ‘frivolous lawsuit’. So yes, I find it of utmost important that we protect the working families of West Virginia.

I reached out many times to Mr. Steve Roberts on legislative issues, to ensure that we do what is right for our small business owners, thus proving to be the candidate of choice to champion for our business owners.
